Bucket List

The whole experience (with my mom) has made me do a lot of thinking about myself and the way I’ve lived my life thus far.  I spoke a bit about this in my last post (Cherish), but I thought it might be best to elaborate a little bit.  My entire life has been very guarded, to say the least.  I rarely allow myself to leave my comfort zone; and, when I do, it’s for a very short amount of time with immense discomfort and difficulty.  I’ve decided that, when my family and I get through this, I’m going to change! I’m not going to allow myself to “wait” anymore.  I’m going to get things done!

For those who don’t yet know, I’ll be 40 in just about 2 and a half years (November 2018); so, I figured the easiest thing to do would be to create things to do by 40 bucket list.

  1. Travel somewhere I’ve never been within the US.
  2. Travel outside of the US (on an airplane).
  3. Visit my family in AZ.
  4. Go to a zoo.
  5. Try out for a game show (probably Jeopardy, Family Feud, or Idiot test).
  6. Go on a date.
  7. Get an interview with an idol of mine for the magazine.
  8. Get a paid, full-time, writing job.
  9. Teach more.
  10. Be spontaneous at least once.
  11. Do an escape room.
  12. Be a better friend.
  13. Become less dependent on others-do something alone.
  14. Relearn the guitar.
  15. Become fluent in Spanish.
  16. Reach my goal weight.
  17. Learn to run.
  18. Get back into Karate.
  19. Become more philanthropic.
  20. Start working on my PhD.
